Applications are now open for Asian Youth Assembly 2018 taking place on August 11-12 in Kathmandu, Nepal. Organized by Youth Parliament Nepal and Asian Youth Assembly 2018 aims to gather young leaders, innovators, peacemakers, youth activists and civil society pioneers from around the Asia in a single forum to share their experiences and knowledge on pertinent Asian issues. The theme of Asian Youth Assembly 2018 is “Revitalizing Asian Youth Integration for Climate Change in the ERA of SDGs”. Attendance at Asian Youth Assembly 2018 is by application only. Asian Youth Assembly 2018 is more than an assembly. It’s platform for young leaders from around the Asia to share and learn about the best practices through mutual learning on ideas and initiatives of advocacy tools to achieve sustainable development goals from the youth perspective and encourage youth to lobby them in their own respective governments. The benefits of applying for Asian Youth Assembly 2018 extend far beyond participating in an assembly. It’s an opportunity to find collaborators, get connected with scholars, researchers and community leaders to share and explore the different ideas of climate change, youth leadership and SDGs. The application includes an opportunity to apply for Asian Youth Assembly 2018 and it includes: Accommodation during the nights of an assembly (shared room) Participation fee that covers registration and all meals Stationary and other educational materials including some publications Internal travel within Kathmandu during an assembly Please note that your application fee will not cover your flight to Kathmandu and back. It does cover your pick-up from the nearest airport in Kathmandu (Tribhuvan International Airport) and your return back to the same airport. Your application fee will not cover your visa fee, insurance, or any other incidental expenses. Eligibility Youth and Students of all level (age group 18-40); early career researchers, young professionals from all countries in the fields related to scholarly and scientific research (e.g. advocates, young innovators, NGO workers, etc.) Applicants must be eighteen years of age and not older than 40 to Asian Youth Assembly 2018. Youth Parliament Nepal wants to highly encourage those who have ideas for new projects and initiatives in addition to those who are already leading them. The most important criteria is an interest in facilitation of a debate and development of resolutions on the best way forward to achieve SDGs and a commitment to taking action.
